GameplayĪs a FPS game, Ravenfield is as basic as it can get. Your objective is to lead your Blue team to victory in battles on the eponymous Ravenfield. You play as a soldier of the Blue team in their war with the Red team. Instead, it focuses on making the shooting game aspect as perfect as it can possibly be.However, it does have a little bit of a premise. To that end, it dispenses with unnecessarily convoluted plots and complex gameplay.
The only thing Ravenfield truly aspires to be is an amazing FPS game. Can it stand up against the massive triple A FPS games from major game developers? General Concept However, it really excels in its execution, as evidenced by the overwhelimingly positive response that it has received.
At first glance, it just looks like your standard FPS game with some low-quality graphics. Between the two, Ravenfield definitely falls in the latter category. It's not gory and it's probably never going to brag about its awesome high-resolution graphics but I think you will find it's the most fun you've had in a free FPS under 30 megabytes in some time.First-person shooting games are a dime a dozen in today’s gaming market, so it takes a unique premise or amazing execution to really standout in the overly-saturated FPS market. It is considered beta and in many places, it shows. One should keep in mind that this isn't a professional, polished game but instead was initially designed as an experiment with ragdoll physics and artificial intelligence but gained in popularity, so development continues casually. Capture flags, kill the enemy and be the first to score 200 points to win. You can hop in the car and even drive a helicopter. Choose from a few guns and then you will spawn with your blue team and head out to destroy the red team.
There are quite a few options from graphics to gameplay but nothing for changing the main keyboard commands yet. Ravenfield is a first person shooter indie game with ragdoll physics where you and your blue allies need to destroy the opposing red team with using helicopters, cars, and guns.
